The Regent Esplanade Zagreb Honored With International Five-Star Diamond Award

Regent Hotels & Resorts is pleased to announce that for the second consecutive year, the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences has awarded the International Five-Star Diamond Award to The Regent Esplanade Zagreb. Last year, the hotel became the first in Croatia to ever receive the prestigious award, and today The Regent Esplanade Zagreb remains the country’s only Five-Star Diamond property.
The award was presented to The Regent Esplanade Zagreb by Joseph Cinque, President of the American Academy of Hospitality Services, at a ceremony at the International Luxury Travel Market in Cannes last month.
The American Academy of Hospitality Sciences bestows the award annually to luxury properties deemed to be of pinnacle quality by its International Board of Trustees, which consists of a select group of industry leaders and world travelers. The award recognizes excellence in luxury hospitality; criteria include ambiance, cuisine, décor and service.
An original stop on the legendary Orient Express, The Regent Esplanade Zagreb is a Mediterranean luxury landmark located in the city’s historic district. The 207-room hotel offers five lounge and dining options, including fine dining establishment Zinfandel’s Restaurant and Oleander Terrace, which features expansive views of the fountain at Ante Starcevic Square and the surrounding Art Nouveau buildings.
